Week in Review

Pattern: Baby Bonnet from
Yarn: Malabrigo Nostalgia
Button: vintage from stash
Thoughts on pattern: LOVE it. This will be my new go to baby gift. Done in a couple hours.
Next I am going to try the baby socks from the same book.

Pattern: Based on a couple free shrug patterns that I saw on Ravelry
For: Sarah
Yarn: Encore in red
Thoughts: It is too tight for Miss Sarah, so I am going to finish the sleeves and save it for someone else.
I was thinking of making her the Jane Austen dress instead and getting some cute Valentine's fabric for the bottom. The pattern is from the book Mason-Dixon Knitting Outside the Lines.
We have been enjoying lots of homemade organic applesauce this week, and I just ordered a seed catalog last night and have begun planning our garden.
My goal is to really stock the pantry & freezer this year. Come on Spring!

We all have been enjoying homemade granola (from Feeding the Whole Family) over yogurt with blueberries and maple syrup. I have been making yogurt but this is my favorite store bought Greek yogurt. If you ever check out that cook book you must try the Asian Noodle Salad with Toasted Sesame Dressing, we have it every week with our stir fry...the sauce is SOOOOO good!

Lastly the guys have been enjoying way too many cookies, Pete claims I have perfected the recipe which of course makes me want to make more, even though I am not a huge chocolate chip cookie fan.

So what is going on in your house this week?
